I get a lot of help from the natural elements that surround us here in the middle of the 100 acre forest. The labyrinths, gardens and
encourage people to slow down and take time to "be".
. . .to be more like themselves.
. . .to grow into their treatments.
I was very fortunate to be raised in one of the most magical places in Southern Ontario! Webster's Falls is at the start of The Spencer Gorge, just where the little river plunges over the edge of the escarpment above the old town of Dundas.
My Folks bought an abandoned woolen mill site straddling Spencer's Creek, my dad set up his business in the only remaining building, a blanket warehouse, and we lived in the mill keeper's house.
Later on when it came time to settle down and get on with building a life, there was no other place I wanted to be except surrounded by nature, with the conveniences of a town not too far away. Sure enough that is what we have here at Rural Rootz.
Dealing with ornamental grasses takes ingenious "chainsaw gardening."
Stop an oncoming cold . . .
This works for us.
When you feel a cold coming on, just that nagging tickle at the back of your throat, or a sniffling nose,
Before you go to bed apply a few drops of Oil Of Oregano to the soles of your feet!!!
I have tried to put oil of oregano under my tongue.
I have tried to gargle with a dilute solution of it.
It is awful, horrid, burning stuff!!!
When Heather Salerne,
one of our Energy Healers,
suggested the following alternative,
we were all over it!!!
Use a latex or rubber glove, or a thin plastic bag to keep the oil off your hands. (You don't want this oil anywhere but on your feet!)
You'll need just a few drops of oil.
Rub it in well around the toes and the ball of your feet.
Then put on a light pair of socks and slip into bed.
By morning you will be surprised at how well you slept and
how well you feel!
