But we do live in the middle of a forest ... literally. We do have more leaves than most. We do get desperate an that leads to innovation.
We go to our local building trades store and get some of the black tarps that cover the lumber. They are free for the taking. We lay it out on the ground beside where we are collecting leaves and using a six tined fork, we scoop the leaves up like a deck of cards, toss them onto the tarp and then drag the tarp to the leaf pile.
The six tined fork has a proper curve to it so you can scoop under the leaves and pick them up as long as they are packed down. It works really well after a rain! So save yourself a lot of back breaking work cleaning up those remaindered leaves. It is all about working smart ... especially int he garden!
