Our First Itinerant Dragon
His grandmother had named him Hubert but after he got used to his new home, we discovered that part of this dragon's problem was that he had a lisp.
For years he had tried to get the humans he was living with to understand that his name was really "Dhubri," not Hubert. Tom even thought he was called "Hubris" but there is no way that such a sweet dragon could have such an awful name. Hubris describes a personality quality of extreme or foolish pride or dangerous overconfidence. Neither of these are qualities that Dhubri seems to exhibit.
Dhubri missed his home which was called, "The Land of the Rivers," but is so relieved to have found his way to our Dragon Sanctuary. In gratitude for finally being understood, he has promised to stay with us for a moment and a day and share his tales and adventures with the Seven Dragons of Rural Rootz.
I can hardly wait to hear the tales he has to tell!!!
